5th All-Poland Workers' Conference

We would like to invite you to the 5th All-Poland Workers' Conference, that is taking place in Lodz (Łódź) in Poland on the 17th and 18th of June 2006. The main subjects of the conference are flexible forms of employment and the fight against deregulation on the labour market.

The official languages of the conference will be Polish but we will provide translations if needed (inform us about it in advance).

10.30 - 11.00 Flexible forms of employment- subject description.

An introduction to the subject: a definition, different forms of flexible employment and range of its usage, employers' and liberals' explanations for its expansion; an attempt to explain the phenomenon from the perespective of workers movement.

11.00 - 12.00 Flexibility or discrimination? Noxiousness of flexible employment to workers, their families and to situation in workplaces. A theory of segmentation of the labour market as a proof for permanent noxiousness of atipical work.
