In Poland it is estimated, that since mid - 2004 approximately 3 million people were or are working in Western Europe. The Workers Initiative (Inicjatywa Pracownicza) puts lots of attention to the struggle for the rights of migrant workers and since 2003 we are running a Campaign for Migrant Workers' Rights. Its aim is to spread the knowledge of workers rights in particular countries as well as organising international protests in case of their violation.

Also we give lots of importance to link the class struggles in Europe with struggles in other continents: South America, Asia and Africa. In China only in 2006, only due to official governmental data, 23000 riots took place with the participation of workers.

The authorities in Beijing do not hesitate to introduce most brutal reprisals against the protesters and the members of the trade union movement. Because of that organising meetings, like this in Paris, plays a very important role, even if they do not give concrete effects immediately.

Integrating international actions needs time. One can see though, that the syndicalist movement, as well as the workers' struggles, grow in strength again, and together with this process there is a growth in need of international solidarity and cooperation.
